ECO celebrates 20 years in Madagascar – GreenMAD, PGME, Page and Page2

One of the projects that ECO was allowed to accompany and implement celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. It all began in 2002 with GreenMAD in Madagascar - a reforestation project only that was to evolve over time. The projects PGME, PAGE und PAGE 2 followed.

Today ECO is responsible for the implementation of Output 1 within PAGE 2, to strengthen the technical capacities of the actors of selected wood value chains. In this context, ECO has developed a holistic approach to modernize the "green charcoal" value chain.

Some colleagues from the team in Madagascar have been involved from the very beginning and have mastered many ups and downs and, above all, achieved many milestones. A small delegation from the German offices took the opportunity to visit the project sites in person, wallow in memories and work on new ideas.
