| Qualification: |
a) Team Leader (Economist)
- Advanced degree in economics, agricultural economics, development studies,
or related subject;
- At least 15 years of professional experience in working in Agriculture,
Naturalm Resources and Rural Development, with at least some of
this experience in the Asia region;
- Good experience of programme design, preferably in a multi-donor
context Knowledge of Uplands development issues is highly desirable;
- At least three years' experience of developing and providing advice
on PBAs in the sector of Agriculture, Natural Resources and Rural
Development;
- Good understanding of South East Asia context, including the respective
roles of government and the private sector in the rural economy;
- Good knowledge and experience of EC project cycle management procedures
- Experience in Laos would be an advantage, but is not essential;
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in speaking and writing
English;
- Sensitivity to the cultural and political context of the country.
b) Land and Natural Resource Management Specialist
- Advanced degree in natural resources issues, development studies,
or related subject;
- At least 10 years of professional experience in working in Agriculture,
Natural Resources and Rural Development, with at least some of this
experience in the Asia region;
- Good experience of programme design;
- Knowledge of Uplands land and natural resource management issues
is highly desirable;
- Good understanding of South East Asia context, including the respective
roles of government and the private sector in the rural economy;
- Experience in Laos is highly desirable;
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in speaking and writing
English;
- Sensitivity to the cultural and political context of the country.
c) Environment Specialist
- Advanced degree in environment, natural resources management,
or related subject;
- At least 5 years of professional experience in working in Natural
Resources and Rural Development, with at least some of this experience
in the Asia region;
- Experience of programme design;
- Knowledge of Uplands environment issues is highly desirable;
- Good understanding of South East Asia context, including the respective
roles of government and the private sector in the rural economy;
- Experience in Laos is highly desirable;
- Excellent communication skills and fluency in speaking and writing
English;
- Ability to speak Lao is desirable
- Sensitivity to the cultural and political context of the country.
